What’s Different About
Those
Who Are Extremely Successful?
From: Larina Kase, PsyD, MBA New York Times Bestselling Author,
Business Psychologist, Executive Performance Coach
In my 10+ years of providing executive
leadership coaching and small business
marketing services, I’ve realized that the
answer is surprisingly simple:
Those who are most
successful take action.
But it isn’t just any action.
They take what I call “Reach Action”.
I use the word “Reach” because it has 3
meanings, all of which are critical factors
of success:
Connect — To be successful
you need to contact and connect with
others. Whether you’re speaking before
an audience, sharing your marketing
message or leading others, your most
important goal is to connect.
Stretch — You become most
successful when you stretch yourself.
When you’re willing to move past your
comfort zone, you reach new heights of
leadership skill development, business
performance, and personal fulfillment.
Achieve — So many people
expend effort and take action, but it’s
not the right action, or it’s not done
in the right way. They spin their
wheels. When you take Reach Action you
achieve your goals as efficiently as
possible.
What Reach Action Do
You Need to Take?
It may be one of many things. Perhaps:
You need to speak with confidence
and persuade audiences but you have a
major fear of public speaking.
Your professional image is
important, however, you aren’t making
the impression that you want in front of
your colleagues, clients, or boss.
You want to bring in new business,
but you're using the wrong strategies or
you're using the right strategies in the
wrong way.
You need to market yourself
to move up in your career or build your
business, but worry about being too
self-promotional.
Whatever your goal, you need a process
and an ally such as a performance coach to
help you get there.
Your Time is Too Valuable to Spin Your
Wheels
Sometimes we get mired in
procrastination, perfectionism, and
intimidation and can’t get ourselves going
(at all, much less to take Reach Action).
When you finally you get going, if you’re
like most people you’d work on it by talking
to friends and colleagues, reading business
books, and taking a trial and error approach
to finding what works.
Sometimes the haphazard approach is
successful but more often it leads to
dead-ends.
Certainly it is inefficient, causing you to
waste time and money. Is there, then, a
better way to make major changes?
There is.
You need business advice based not on
hearsay and opinion, but on fact and
research.
When solutions are based on the proper
research, they’re driven by objective data.
They’ve been tested and measured under
different situations. They’re based on the
results of thousands, not just a few. These
are the solutions that are shown to be
successful.
Profit from Our Research and Experience
As a doctor of psychology trained at The
University of Pennsylvania, I’ve devoted my
career to studying the science of human
behavior. Specifically I’ve researched a
distinct, empirically validated form of
psychology based on our thoughts and
behaviors.
As an MBA and probably more importantly,
a life-long entrepreneur, I’ve researched
the leadership and communication skills of
the top executives and entrepreneurs.
The Performance & Success coaches and I
apply these concepts to executive
performance coaching and small
business coaching. We help our clients
take the Reach Actions that move them from
effective to exceptional.

"Larina, I'm pretty
selective about the

listen in on, but
yours can always be
counted on to
deliver plenty of
useful content and
tremendous value.
That should come as
no surprise to

I still find it very
